Steve's 1999 Cadillac was regularly stalling out while he was driving around town. He knew enough about his car to know that was not a common problem with fuel-injected vehicles. Steve realized he needed an expert's opinion, so he brought his beloved Caddy in to San Francisco Automotive Solutions (formerly known as All American Automotive).
"Haven't written a review in a long time, but the service I received from this place forced me to log in an let everyone know," Steve says in his online review. "They spent much more than the hour they quoted (and charged) me to figure out what was wrong. Thank God they did because what they found really scared me."
It turns out that a wiring harness behind the engine of Steve's Cadillac had come loose. It was actually touching the exhaust manifold, and he was lucky it didn't lead to bigger problems or a fire risk.
"I don't know how long I would have been driving around with the car like this without their help," Steve adds. "These are questions to which we should not speculate. In any case, they fixed it then showed me the fused wires they pulled off the manifold and pictures of the work they did behind the engine."
Steve's wiring harness problem is not one we see often at the San Francisco Automotive Solutions shop, but it just goes to show how complex cars can be. Sometimes issues can be big.
